Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum has distributed 110 brand new operational vehicles, 500 motorcycles, and 280 houses to police and military personnel.
The distribution was flagged off by Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun who commended the governor’s initiative, describing him as a performing governor in the fight against insecurity in the North East.
Governor Zulum said, 60 of the vehicles will be allocated to the police while 50, as well as the 500 motorcycles, will go to the Nigerian military.

According to him, the police will be allocated 220 houses at the Mai Mala Buni Estate, 20 at Kashim Shettima Estate and another 40 at Wulari, all in Maiduguri.
Governor Zulum emphasised that supporting the security forces, would enhance their efficiency, and dedication to duty.
The police chief expressed gratitude to Governor Zulum for what he described as, massive support and assured him that the operational assets would be put to immediate use to enhance security in the state.
