The immediate past Secretary to the Borno State Government, (SSG), Alhaji Usman Jidda Shuwa has died.
Shuwa, 65, died on Saturday evening at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital, UMTH, where he was receiving treatment for an undisclosed illness.

Shuwa was until May 28th, the SSG of Governor Babagana Zulum’s administration.
He was a seasoned administrator with a long-standing track record, having worked at the Presidential Villa, State House Abuja, as Administrative Secretary to the former First Lady, Hajiya Maryam Sani Abacha, and later with the former Head of State, Late General Sani Abacha before he was deployed as Federal Ministerial Secretary.
He was a Fellow of the National War College and had also served in various administrative capacities under the Borno State Civil Service.
Late Shuwa was Born in 1958 in Bama Town, Bama Local Government Area of Borno State.
