The Management of Bowen University in Osun state has announced the death of one of its students in a suspected violent attack.
Vice chancellor of the University, Professor Jonathan Babalola while giving details leading to the death of the student said the deceased was seen running towards the staff quarters where he suddenly collapsed and hit his head against the pavement, and was immediately rushed to the University Hospital where he gave
Professor Jonathan further disclosed that the student had sustained wounds on his abdominal region prior to the fall while bruises were also seen around his neck, indicative of a struggle or defence wounds.

The development according to the vice chancellor has been reported to the Police, which immediately swung to action to uncover the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident
Meanwhile, the University has suspended ongoing examinations till Monday 27th of January, 2025
