Bayelsa state Governor Douye Diri has appealed to the federal government to consider building a gas plant and to fast track the take off of the Brass fertiliser plant in the state which is believed would generate job opportunities after completion, for the unemployed youths in the state and beyond.
Speaking through the Deputy Governor, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, he said the appeal was made when he played host to the Minister of state for petroleum resources Ekperikpe Ekpo this Wednesday in government house Yenagoa.

The minister, while speaking on Federal government plans in the gas sector, assured of its commitment to realising the full potentials of the sector for the benefit of all Nigerians.
The Minister says his visit to the state was to meet with key players in the gas sector at the Nigerian Content Development and Montoring Board, NCDMB.
