After 40 days in captivity, 14 abducted students of the Greenfield University in Kaduna have regained their freedom.

They were reportedly dropped at a location along the Kaduna- Abuja Expressway for their parents to pick them up.

It will be recalled that, bodies of 3 of the abducted students were found on April 23 in Kwanan Bature village, which is a location close to their university.

Their abductors had threatened to kill all the students if their demand for ransom was not met by the parents or government.

Meanwhile, speaking on AIT Breakfast show, Kakaaki after the abduction, Sheik Gumi said the abductors of Greenfield University students were Boko Haram terrorists and not bandits as widely assumed at the time.
