The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC says 624 new Covid-19 infections have been recorded in Nigeria. This brings the total number of confirmed cases to 41,804.
The 18 states with new infections include Lagos-212; Oyo-69; Niger-49; Kano and Osun-37 each; FCT-35; Plateau-34; Gombe-33; Edo and Enugu-28 each. Others are Ebonyi-17; Delta-10; Katsina-9; Ogun-8; Rivers-7; Ondo-5; Kaduna-4 and Nasarawa-2
There are 561 Covid-19 patients discharged across Nigeria in the last 24 hours with the number of successfully treated cases in the country now 18,764.

The figures also show that there are 8 new Covid-19 fatalities reported across treatment centres in Nigeria with the national death toll rising to 868.
