Nigeria has recorded 290 new Covid-19 infections in 16 states with the total number of confirmed cases now 46,867.
Figures released by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC show that the 16 states with new Covid-19 cases include Lagos and
Plateau-82 each; Oyo-19; FCT-18 and Edo-16. Others are Kaduna-15; Enugu and Ogun-9 each; Kano and Kwara-8; Cross River, Ondo and Rivers-5 each; Ekiti-4; Imo-3 and Borno-2.
At least 160 Covid-19 patients recovered from the infection across Nigeria in the last 24 hours with the total number of successfully treated cases in the country now 33,346.
Meanwhile, 5 new Covid-19 fatalities have been reported in the country with the national death toll put at 950.
