Latest figures from the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC show that 445 Covid-19 patients were discharged across Nigeria in the last 24 hours. This is as the number of successfully treated cases in the country increases to 40,726
Meanwhile, 296 new Covid-19 cases have been recorded in 17 states with the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria now 53,317.

The new Covid-19 infections are reported in the new epicentre Plateau with 85 cases; Enugu-46; Oyo-31; Lagos-21; Rivers-20; FCT-15 and Kaduna-13. Bauchi has 12 new cases; Delta and Ekiti-11 each; Akwa Ibom-7; Ebonyi-6; Kwara-5; Ogun and Osun-4 each; Gombe-3 and Niger-2.
There is 1 more Covid-19 death reported in Nigeria in the last 24 hours with the national death toll now 1,011.
