Tension heightened in Imo state on Monday, as unknown gunmen razed the Okigwe south Divisional Police Headquarters situated in Orieagu in the Ehime Mbano Local Government Area of Imo state.
According to a police officer at the headquarters name withheld the attackers launched explosives on the police facility and successfully freed all the suspects and made away with arms.
No fewer than six police men were shot dead by the attackers as they torched the security facility.

A community source , said that the villagers were running away to the neighboring communities.

This incident is coming berely two days after unknown gunmen attacked the country home of number one citizen Hope Uzodimma killing three.
