The Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN), has taken over the trial of the convener of #RevolutionNow protests ,Omoyele Sowore, from the Department of State Services, DSS.
This was made known in a statement issued by the Special Assistant on Media and Public Relations to the Minister, Umar Gwandu, on Friday.
In the statement, the Federal Government asked the Director-General of the DSS, Yusuf Bichi, to promptly forward all the case files to the AGF’s office.
The taking over was sequel to the last attack on the Federal High Court on December 6 during the re-arrest of Sowore in which the AGF promised to ensure speedy investigation.
