The Court of Appeal sitting in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital in South-South Nigeria has struck out the matter brought before it by embattled National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Uche Secondus.
In a unanimous ruling by the three justices, the Court affirmed that the rights of the Secondus were derived from the constitution of the party and as such he has no right to stop its National Convention.

The court also upholds that it has no right to stop the PDP National Convention scheduled for Saturday and Sunday in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
