President Muhammadu Buhari has directed the immediate suspension of the inauguration of the newly constituted Board of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) scheduled for Wednesday 24th November, 2021 until further notice.
Although no cogent reasons was given for the suspension of the board’s inaguration.
A statement issued by the Director Information, Office of the Secretary to the government of the federation and signed by the SGF Boss Mustapha on Tuesday, explained that a new date for the inauguration of the Board will be announced in due course.

The statement notes that the government deeply regrets inconveniences caused to members by the suspension.
