Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has confirmed 245 new Coronavirus cases in the country with the total number of recorded infections now 2,802.
This leaves Nigeria less than 200 cases away from hitting the 3,000 mark in the total number of total confirmed Coronavirus cases in the country.
From the 245 new cases, 76 are in Lagos, 37 in Katsina, 32 in Jigawa, 23 in Kano, 19 in the FCT and 18 in Borno States. The remaining are 10 in Edo, nine in Bauchi, six in Adamawa, five each in Oyo and Ogun with one each in Ekiti, Osun, Benue, Niger, Zamfara States.

With 18 new infections, Borno now has 100 confirmed Coronavirus cases to become the state with the fourth highest number of infections after Lagos, Kano and FCT respectively.
While Jigawa and Katsina States recorded their highest ever number of infections in a single day, Benue State had its second case more than one month after its index case.
Meanwhile, 17 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours with eight new fatalities were recorded bringing the death toll to 97.
