BREAKING: Covid-19 cases in Nigeria jump to 6,175

Nigeria now has over 6,000 confirmed Covid-19 cases following the confirmation of 216 new Coronavirus infections in 15 states. This has pushed the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 6,175.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 74 new cases in Lagos, 33 in Katsina, 19 in Oyo, 17 in Kano, 13 Edo and 10 in Zamfara.

Other cases include 8 each in Ogun, Gombe, Borno, 7 each in Bauchi and Kwara, 4 in FCT, 3 each in Kaduna, Enugu with 2 in Rivers

Edo State now has over 100 confirmed Covid-19 cases as 13 new infections have taken the total to 108.

With total confirmed cases of 842, Kano State has about twice the number of 422 Covid-19 cases in Federal Capital Territory.

Meanwhile, 50 Covid-19 patients were discharged across Nigeria on Monday bringing the total to 1,644 with the death toll at 191 following 9 new fatalities.
