Chairman of the Edo State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Anthony Aziegbemi, and the governorship candidate of the PDP, Asue Ighodalo have abstained from signing the peace accord ahead of the September 21 election.
They accused the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, of bias and demand release of all their party members being held in detention.
The party led by Governor Obaseki has persistently claimed that the police working with the APC is hounding chieftains of the PDP to weaken its chances in the election.
