Breaking: Family Confirms Death of Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, President-General of Ohaaneze Ndigbo

The Iwuanyanwu family of Umuohi Atta in Ikeduru Local Government Area of Imo State has confirmed the death of the sitting President General of the apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohaaneze Ndigbo, Chief Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Iwuanyanwu.

Iwuanyanwu reportedly died in Abuja on Thursday, July 25, 2024 after a brief illness, according to a Statement released by his son, Jide Iwuanyanwu on behalf of the family.

Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu who held the traditional title of Ahaejiagamba Ndigbo, was an Engineer by training, an industrialist, businessman, and the founder of the Champion Group of Newspapers

Aged 82, Iwuanyanwu was until his death also the President of Owerri Peoples Assembly.
