Breaking: FCT leads 15 states as Nigeria records 481 new Covid-19 cases

Latest figures from the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC show that the country has recorded 481 new Covid-19 infections in 15 states. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria to 42,689.

The Federal Capital Territory has the highest single number of 96 new cases ahead of Lagos that has reported 89 infections. The other states with new cases are Plateau-68; Ogun-49; Edo-44; Rivers-43; Oyo-25; Osun-23; Delta-15; Enugu-11; Kano and Kaduna-7 each; Bauchi-2; Bayelsa and Yobe-1 each.

The Covid-19 treatment centres across Nigeria have discharged 266 additional patients bringing the total number of successfully treated cases to 19,270.

There are 5 new Covid-19 fatalities reported in Nigeria bringing the national death toll in the last 24 hours to 878
