The Nigerian Government has re-arrested the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu.
The IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu has been rearraigned on terrorism charges before the Federal High Court in Abuja
in coordinated interception following 2 years of man-haunt after he jumped bail
Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami at an emergency media briefing in Abuja confirmed the re-arrest of Nnamdi Kanu.
Kanu was put on trial 2 years ago on charges bothering on terrorism, treasonable felony and sponsorship of unlawful organisation before he escaped out of the country while on admission on bail.
Justice Binta Nyako who granted him bail on ground of his ill health revoked same on March 28, 2019 and issued bench warrant for his re-arrest in any part of Nigeria.
When Malami was asked where Nnamdi Kanu was actually arrested, he gave no reply but police authorities have confirmed that the IPOB leader was arrested in Nigeria when he sneaked into the country
