There are reports of heavy gunshots at the Ikoyi Correctional Centre in Lagos State.
The prison facility has also reportedly been set ablaze with no further details available at the moment.

The Ikoyi prison incident is coming barely 24 hours after IGP Mohammed Adamu ordered deployment of anti-riot police men across the country to also fortify security at correctional centres nationwide.
