The strike by Judiciary Staff Union Of Nigeria, JUSUN, has been suspended with members directed to resume work on Wednesday, June 4.
This decision was reached after series of meeting between the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, JUSUN and relevant stakeholders, engaging the Federal Government to ensure the release of funds to the Judiciary within the period of one month.
According to a communiqué signed and released by JUSUN, upon the release of the funds to the Judiciary, the other demands by the union, which are the implementation of the N70,000 new minimum wage and its arrears, 25/35% salary increase and five months wage award and their arrears, are to be implemented immediately.

JUSUN acknowledges the noble intervention of the CJN, Minister of Labour and Employment, Mohammed Maigari, National Industrial Court, NIC and other stakeholders.
The strike, which lasted for two days began in early hours of Monday June 2, which resulted in the lockout of judges, lawyers, staff, and litigants from accessing various courts except the Supreme Court.
