The Kano State Government has commended the Department of State Services (DSS) for the successful rescue of the abducted Administrative Secretary of Kibiya Local Government Area, Alhaji Hamza Durya.
In a statement signed by the Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, the government described the operation as swift and coordinated, noting that the victim was rescued unhurt while two suspected kidnappers were arrested with gunshot injuries.
The government said the development reflects the effectiveness of ongoing security strategies and praised security agencies for their professionalism and commitment to protecting lives and property.
It also acknowledged Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s support in strengthening security operations, while urging residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities.
