The Deputy Governor and Chairman of the Kwara State Technical Committee on Covid-19, Kayode Alabi and his wife, Abieyuwa Alabi have both tested positive for Covid-19.
According to a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Kwara State Governor who is also the spokesperson of the Technical Committee on COVID-19 in the state, Rafiu Ajakaye, Alabi and his wife underwent COVID-19 test after they showed mild symptoms of the virus.
Ajakaye noted that the couple is very stable and in high spirits and are now undergoing standard management protocols supervised by the government’s medical team.
Immediate contact tracing and tests, among other safety protocols, are being done for persons who have met with the couple in the past few days, the statement concludes.
