Lagos now has over 5,000 Covid-19 cases as Nigeria records 416 new infections

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC reports that 20 states have recorded 416 new Covid-19 infections in the country bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 10,578.

The breakdown of the 416 new infections includes Lagos-192, Edo-41, Rivers-33, Kaduna-30
Kwara-23, Nasarawa-18, Borno-17, FCT-14 and Oyo-10.

Others are Katsina-7, Abia and Delta-5 each, Adamawa and Kano-4 each, Imo and Ondo-3 with 2 each in Benue, Bauchi, Ogun and Niger-1.

The total number of confirmed Coronavirus cases in Kwara State has jumped to 111 following 23 new infections.

Meanwhile, 115 Covid-19 patients have recovered from infection with the total number of those discharged now 3,122.

There are 12 new fatalities across Nigeria taking the national death toll to 299.
