Liz Truss has resigned from office as UK Prime Pinister in statement outside Downing Street after meeting the Chairman of 1922 Committee of backbench Members of Parliament as more Tories called for her to quit.
More than a dozen Conservative Members of Parliament had publicly called on Liz Truss to step down as Prime Minister with the number growing by the hour before she finally stepped down.

Truss came under renewed pressure to step down after Home Secretary, Suella Braverman resigned her position amid chaotic vote on fracking in Parliament.
