Abuja division of the Court of Appeal, Abuja division has granted the Labour Party and its presidential candidate, Peter Obi permission to carry out digital and forensic inspection on the February 25, 2023 election materials, however, the prayer of labour Party’s to stop INEC from further use of the machine was not granted as the court says it would affect the March 11 elections already scheduled to hold.

The court therefore ordered that INEC avail a certified true copy of the data contained in the BIVAS machine to the appellant since it says that the data contained can be uploaded to the server and retrieved when necessary.

MUST READ: I will challenge the election outcome in court- Peter Obi

This therefore means that the order does not stop the configuration of the Machines and March 11 elections from going on.

More details to come
