The Court of Arbitration for Sports CAS, has overturned Manchester City’s 2-year UEFA Champions League ban, ruling that the Club did not break any of the UEFA Financial Fair Play, FFP Regulations.
The Premier League side had vehemently denied any wrongdoing and appealed the decision at CAS last month, after previously describing the disciplinary process as “prejudicial”.
Manchester City, also known as “The Cityzens” were banned in February from the Champions League football and fined €30 million after UEFA said they were guilty of seriously misleading the body as it concerns the FFP.
Meanwhile, despite the lifting of the ban, the former English Champions fine was reduced to €10 million.

The FFP was established to prevent football clubs from spending beyond their earning power while in the pursuit of success, which may cause financial problems and affect the long-term survival of clubs.
