Nigeria inches towards 50,000 discharged Covid-19 patients

Nigeria is likely to hit the 50,000 marks in the number of successfully treated Covid-19 cases in the next 24 hours. This follows the discharge of 101 more patients across the country with the total number successfully treated cases rising to 49,895

Meanwhile, 13 states are reporting 136 new Covid-19 infections with the total number of confirmed cases now 58,460.

Lagos has 71 of the new cases; Rivers-23; Plateau-12; Adamawa-6; Oyo-6; Kaduna-5; Abia and FCT-3 each; Katsina and Kwara-2 each; Bauchi, Borno and Edo-1 each.

There are 3 new Covid-19 fatalities confirmed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC across the country in the last 24 hours with the national death toll put at 1,111.
