Nigeria now has over 35,000 confirmed Covid-19 cases

In the last 24 hours, 20 states in Nigeria have reported 600 new Covid-19 cases bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 35,454.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed the 600 new Covid-19 infections in Lagos-129; FCT-118; Oyo-87; Kano-55; Benue-42; Enugu-35; Kwara-28; Imo-16; Ogun-13; Kaduna and Ondo-12 each.

Others states with new cases include Delta and Edo-11 each ; Plateau-8; Nasarawa, Ekiti and Niger-6 each; Borno and Abia-4 each; Gombe-3.

There are 341 Covid-19 patients that were discharged across Nigeria on Friday. This brings the total number of successfully treated cases in the country to 14,633.

Meanwhile, 4 new Covid-19 fatalities have been reported in Nigeria with the total number of deaths since the index case was confirmed on February 27 now 772.
