The Covid-19 death toll in Nigeria has risen to 590 following 17 new fatalities in the last 24 hours.
There have also been 561 new Covid-19 infections recorded in the country with the total number of confirmed cases now 25,694.
The new Covid-19 infections are recorded in 19 states including Lagos-200; Edo-119; Kaduna-52; FCT-52; Niger-32; Ogun-19; Ondo-16; Imo-14 and Plateau-11. The others are Abia and Oyo-8 each; Bayelsa-7; Katsina-6; Kano-5; Bauchi, Osun, Kebbi-3 each; Borno-2; Jigawa-1

In the last 24 hours, 344 Covid-19 patients have recovered from the infection after successful treatment. This brings the total number of discharged cases across Nigeria to 9,746.
