Nigeria records 340 new Covid-19 cases in 19 states

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC says 19 states have recorded 340 new Covid-19 infections in the country. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria to 51,304.

Kaduna leads 19 states with 63 new Covid-19 cases; FCT-51; Plateau-38; Lagos-33; Delta-25; Gombe and Adamawa-21 each; Edo-20 and Katsina-17.

Akwa Ibom has 11 new Covid-19 cases; Ekiti-10; Rivers-9; Ondo-5; Ebonyi-4; Cross River and Ogun-3 each; Sokoto, Imo and Nasarawa-2 each.

There are 316 Covid-19 patients discharged across Nigeria in the last 24 hours with the total number of successfully treated cases now 37,885.

Meanwhile, 4 more Covid-19 fatalities have been reported in Nigeria with the national death toll put at 996.
