Nigeria records double-digit Covid-19 deaths after weeks of low fatalities

Figures released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC show that 10 people died of Covid-19 related complications in the last 24 hours. This takes the national death toll to 1,023 after several weeks of low fatalities.

Meanwhile, 372 Covid-19 patients have been discharged across Nigeria taking the total number of successfully treated cases to 42,010.

There are 15 states that have reported 239 new Covid-19 infections in the last 24 hours bringing the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria to 54,247

The states with new Covid-19 cases include Plateau-116; FCT-33; Lagos-19; Ekiti-12; Kaduna and Ogun-11 each. Others are Ebonyi-8; Benue-7; Abia and Delta-5 each; Ondo-4; Edo-3; Imo and Osun-2 each; Bauchi-1.
