Nigeria records low number of new Covid-19 cases, recoveries, and affected states

The number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Nigeria has hit 55,005 but the country has also recorded its lowest number of new infections in the lowest number of states in recent times. This follows the confirmation of 100 new Covid-19 cases in 10 states by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC in the last 24 hours.

The states with new Covid-19 infections include Lagos-39; FCT-22; Kaduna-19; Oyo-7; Ebonyi-6; Edo-3; Katsina, Ekiti, Bauchi and Nasarawa-1 each.

Meanwhile, 91 Covid-19 patients are also reported to have recovered from the infection bringing the total number of successfully treated cases in Nigeria so far to 43,013.

There are 3 more patients who died of Covid-19 related complications in the last 24 hours with the national death toll in Nigeria now 1,057.
