Less than 100 Covid-19 patients have recovered from the infection in Nigeria within the last 24 hours. This is the lowest number of daily recoveries in recent months.
Data from the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC shows that 90 patients tested negative with the total number of successfully treated cases in Nigeria now 44,088.
Meanwhile, there are 160 new Covid-19 infections reported in 13 states with the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria rising to 56,177.
The new Covid-19 cases are recorded in FCT and Plateau-39 each; Lagos-30; Kaduna-23; Katsina-7; Rivers and Oyo-6 each; Yobe and Benue-3 each; Bayelsa Abia, Edo and Ekiti-1 each.
The new figures also show that 2 more patients died of Covid-19 related complications in Nigeria in the last 24 hours with the national death toll now 1,078.
