Nigeria sees 5 straight days of more recoveries than new Covid-19 cases

Nigeria has discharged 297 Covid-19 patients in the last 24 hours with the total number of recoveries from an infection now 41,314. This is the 5th consecutive day the country will have more patients discharged from treatment centres than the number of new confirmed cases.

Meanwhile, Nigeria has also gone 2 straight days without recording any new Covid-19 casualty as the national death toll remains 1,011.

There are 250 new Covid-19 cases reported in 20 states. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria to 53,727.

Nigeria’s new Covid-19 epicentre Plateau State leads the daily infections with 69 new cases; FCT-41; Lagos-21; Delta and Kaduna-14 each; Bayelsa and Enugu-13 each; Ekiti-11.

Other new infections are in Bauchi-9; Ogun-8; Edo and Oyo-7 each; Rivers-6; Adamawa and Osun-4 each; Nasarawa-3; Ebonyi and Kwara-2 each; Gombe and Imo-1 each.
