Nigeia’s inflation rate records its first increase after the rebasing exercise in January, rises to 24.23% in the month of March.
According to the latest figures from the National Bureau of Statistics, NBS, this marks a significant rise from February 2025, when the inflation rate stood at 23.18%. This reflects the mounting pressure on household incomes and the cost of living.

The March 2025 figure is the first rise recorded after rebasing, which brought the inflation rate from the near 30-year high of 34.8% in December 2024 to 24.48% in January 2025.
