No new Covid-19 deaths in Nigeria in last 24 hours

There has been no new Covid-19 related death in Nigeria in the last 24 hours with the toll remaining at 221.

The country has however recorded 265 new infections recorded in 13 states with the total number of confirmed cases now 7,526.

Out of the new cases Lagos has 133, Oyo-34, Edo-28, Ogun-23, FCT-22, Plateau-6, Kaduna-5, Borno and Niger-3 each, Kwara, Bauchi, Anambra and Enugu-2 each. Kano State did not report no new Covid-19 infection for the third time within one week.

Oyo and Ogun States now have over 200 Covid-19 cases each following their 2-digit new infections in the last 24 hours. While Oyo now has 233 cases, Ogun has 219.

Meanwhile, 164 Covid-19 patients were discharged across Nigeria with the total number of successfully treated cases now 2,174.
