Senate has confirmed the appointment of Lieutenant-General Olufemi Oluyede as the new Chief of Defence Staff, along with three other Service Chiefs after four-hour screening session.
Other confirmed Service Chiefs are
Major-General Waidi Shaibu as Chief of Army Staff, Air Vice Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke as Chief of Air Staff and Rear Admiral Idi Abbas as Chief of Naval Staff.

The newly confirmed Service Chiefs will now be officially promoted and decorated with new ranks by President and Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces, Bola Tinubu.
