The Supreme Court has barred the Central Bank of Nigeria and the Accountant general of the federation from releasing any funds from the federation account to Rivers state until an appropriation law is made by the Rivers state assembly.
The apex court also ordered that Martins Amaewule and 26 other lawmakers resume unhindered sittings immediately.

Justice Emmanuel Agim who delivered the lead judgment held that Governor Fubara, for the fear being impeached destroyed the government of Rivers State and has no justification for distorting the affairs of the State’s house of assembly.
