The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has released Idris Okuneye, a popular crossdresser also known as Bobrisky, on bail.
The embattled crossdresser was picked up from an Amsterdam-bound KLM flight at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos while attempting to leave Nigeria for the United Kingdom.
He quickly alerted his followers on social media about his arrest, stating that he sustained injuries during the process.
He was subsequently flown to the headquarters of the EFCC in Abuja, where he was interrogated on his bribe allegations against the Commission.

In a voice note shared by a social critic, Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, Bobrisky allegedly said he bribed the EFCC’s officers with 15 million naira to drop money laundering charges against him.
Sources close to the EFCC say Bobrisky has perfected his bail condition and was subsequently released.
When contacted , the EFCC’s spokesperson, Dele Oyewale confirmed Bobrisky’s release but declined further comments.
