Air passengers were stranded on Saturday at the Nnamdi Azikiwe international airport Abuja, as British Airways cancelled its scheduled flight to London due to technical issues.
The air passengers had checked in as early as 6.30 am, awaiting boarding, for the flight that was expected to depart at 8am, when early morning rain in Abuja had disrupted its take off.

However, it was announced a few minutes later that the aircraft had hydraulic leakage and the engineers were battling to fix it.
Passengers were later informed at 12.45pm that the engineers were not able to fix the problem
The passengers complained that apart from the initial announcement, they were left for hours in the departure lounge without any information until, the announcement that the engineers were not able to fix the problem.
The airline officials then asked that passengers who wish to return home can do so and those who wish to wait will be checked into hotel, as they will be contacted once the aircraft is fixed or another aircraft is probably made available.
The passengers were not allowed to take their already checked-in luggage.
