President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Asabe Vilita Bashir as the new Director General for the National Center for Women Development (NCWD).
The appointment was announced by the Minister of Women Affiars, Pauline Tallen .
The new DG takes over the leadership of the NCWD on Monday, 12 April.
Bashir was born in Limankara community, Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State.
She obtained her First Degree in Chemistry and Mathematics in 1988 from University of Maiduguri and obtained PhD in Educational Philosophy.
She was elected into Borno State House of Assembly in 1997.
