President Muhammadu Buhari has directed the military to go after the bandits who ambushed and killed seven personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil defence Corp(NSCDC) in Kaduna State while on official duty.

The President in a statement issued on Thursday expressed anguish over the deaths and charged the military to ensure the perpetrators pay the price for the killings.

He described the loss of the Civil Defence personnel as a tragic event and saluted the courage of the men who gave their lives to the nation.

“The NSCDC personnel who braved all challenges to guard our nation and its people had made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

“My thoughts are with the bereaved families and their compatriots in the service. May Almighty God grant them and the entire service the fortitude to bear the loss.”
