President Muhammadu Buhari has directed the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development, to work closely with the Katsina State Government, to provide relief materials and succour to victims of the Central Market inferno with immediate effect.

The Federal Government delegation was led by the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami.

They were in Katsina to sympathize and give hope to the affected traders.

In the course of their visit to the market for an on-the-spot assessment, aimed at getting first-hand information and ascertain the level of destruction, they also engaged the leaders of the market in discussions.
