The Federal Government has approved an increment in pension allowances under the pension scheme following similar increase in the Minimum Wage Salaries Structure.
Acting Chairman of National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission, Ekpo Nta who disclosed this at a media briefing in Calabar on Friday, said the increment was approved by President Muhammadu Buhari.
The Chairman said the increment in pension allowances will take immediate effect and backdated to April 18, 2019 when the Minimum Wage was signed into law.

According to Nta, the circular indicating the increase in pension allowances under the defined pension scheme was approved and issued by President Muhammadu Buhari.
