President Muhammadu Buhari has requested the approval of the Senate for the confirmation of the reappointment of Umar Garba Dabata as the Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC.
In a letter forwarded to the Senate on Tuesday, the President said this was in line with sections of the 1999 constitution.
President Muhammadu Buhari had on June 5th announced the approval of reappointment of Umar Danbatta as the executive vice-chairman, Nigerian Communications Commission.

Danbatta was appointed in 2015.
In another letter to the Senate, President Buhari sought approval for the confirmation of the nomination of 11 Judges for the Federal High Court of the FCT.
In a swift response, the senator representing the Federal Capital Territory Philip Aduda called for the inclusion of a judge from the FCT High Court on the appointment list.
