Buhari urges rescued GSSS Kankara boys to put incident behind, focus on studies

President Muhammadu Buhari has urged the rescued Government Science Secondary School Kankara boys, to put behind them, the unfortunate incident and focus on their studies.

The president stated this when he met with the boys at the Presidential Lounge of the Katsina State Government House.

According to Buhari, the incident is a stepping stone to greater achievements ahead.

The president who was exited about the rescue of the boys, added that, great perons in life sometimes have bitter experiences, which has helped to shape their wellbeing.

He further promised to continue doing all things possible to secure the nation and uphold its unity.

Governor Aminu Masari used the occasion to reiterate the need for everyone to take security seriously, saying, it is everyone’s business.

He added that, from that incident, no local government area was spared, as all the abducted students came from one of the local governments or the other.

While thanking the president for his checks on the boys, he said it has put to rest the call for him to visit the area and commiserate with the parents of the students.

Masari said, his administration will continue to make security of lives and property a priority, as he urged everyone to put hands on deck, to reverse the trend.
