The Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission(NCPC) has join the list of establishments, groups and individuals condolences to the government and people of Nigeria, as well as the family of late former Muhammadu Buhari, who died in London on Sunday.
NCPC Executive Bishop Stephen Adegbite, in a statement, described the news of the former President’s passing as a rude shock
“The passing away of former President Muhammadu Buhari came at a time when his wealth of experience was most needed,” he said.
Bishop Adegbite extolled the qualities of the former President, who served as Military Head of State from December 31, 1983, to August 27, 1985, and President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria from 2015 to 2023.
“The late Muhammadu Buhari was a detribalized Nigerian, a worthy patriot, and an unassuming leader who contributed significantly to shaping the current political landscape of our democratic experience,” he stated.
The NCPC boss said former President Buhari will be remembered for his visionary leadership and forthrightness. “He spent his precious time on earth serving Nigeria, and history will never forget his invaluable contributions to the growth of the nation,” Bishop Adegbite added.
He also extended its condolences to President Bola Tinubu, for this colossal loss. Bishop Adegbite and prayed that the Good Lord would grant the immediate family of the late President the fortitude to bear the loss.
