A building has collapsed in the Sabon Gari area of Minna metropolis.
According to the spokesman of the Niger state Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, Ibrahim Husseini, the house is a residential building which was converted to a warehouse.
He said, about 23 trailers of soft drinks was been offloaded into the and it is suspected to be the reason for the collapse as the loads may have overpowered the building.

Husseini added that, 7 persons initially trapped were rescued while some eyewitnesses say they are not certain whether other persons were trapped.
