Students of Bayero University Kano have decried the incessant strike usually embark upon by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, and are calling for a lasting solution.

The students said the strike over the years has truncated their academic calendars and pleaded for government intervention.
The students said they have lost count of how many ASUU strikes they have experienced and wish that a permanent solution can be found to the ugly trend.

The BUK students said this year’s strike has further elongated their stay at the university.

They called on members of ASUU and the Federal Government to come to terms, and save their future.
For now, the students can still be sighted within the university premises, as they are hoping that the one-month warning strike by ASUU, will soon be suspended.
