Rivers United have been drawn against USM Alger of Algeria in the quarterfinals of the 2023–24 CAF Confederation Cup.

The fixture was drawn in a ceremony on Tuesday in Cairo, Egypt.

The first leg of the encounter will be held on March 31, at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, and then United will travel to Algiers seven days later for the second leg encounter.

The winner of the two-leg encounter would progress to the semi-final to face either Libya’s Abu Salem FC or RS Berkane of Morocco.

The Nigerian club finished second in Group C and secured the knockout phase ticket, following a dramatic win over Ghana’s Dream FC.

The Pride of Rivers had to dig deep to score a 100th-minute winner after the Ghanaian club had struck the first blow in the first half.
